Smart home, made simple

Heating, lighting, cameras and doorbells that work together, not in five different apps.

Websites & hosting

A fast, tidy website with reliable hosting and proper email — or, if you've built one with a tool like Lovable, I'll get it online securely.

Why work with me

A personal service, not a call centre.

One point of contact

You deal with the same person start to finish — no scripts, no being passed around, no waiting on hold.

Straightforward advice

Tell me what's happening in your own words, and I'll explain what's going on and your options in a way that actually makes sense.

Fair, upfront prices

Competitive rates, quoted clearly before any work starts. No surprises on the bill.

Real experience

Years spent doing this for a living, brought to a local, friendly service you can actually reach.

Check your address

What broadband and mobile can you actually get?

Pop in your postcode to see the broadband speeds and mobile coverage on offer where you live. I don't sell you a connection — but I'll help you choose well and get the best from it.

Powered by Ofcom's coverage data. Results are predicted speeds for your area and may vary by address.

For your home

Help at home

Everything behind a well-run home — computers, Wi-Fi, smart devices and your broadband — looked after by one friendly local specialist.

Everyday help & repairs

Slow laptops, dodgy printers, mystery pop-ups, forgotten passwords — the everyday annoyances fixed at your kitchen table or remotely, with a clear explanation of what I did.

Wi-Fi in every room

I work out why the signal drops in the places you actually use, then fix it — better placement, a mesh system, or a tidy bit of cabling. No more buffering in the back bedroom.

Computers & laptops

Repairs, upgrades, health checks and new-machine setups — with your files, photos and passwords moved across safely so nothing gets left behind.

Smart home

Heating, lighting, cameras and doorbells that work together and make sense — installed neatly and set up so the whole family can use them.

Home office

Reliable connections, a second screen, printing and video calls that don't freeze — a setup that lets you work as well at home as anywhere.

Getting the most from your broadband

I don't sell broadband or mobile — but I'll help you get the very best from what you've got: better Wi-Fi coverage, sensible hardware, and honest advice on your options.

How it works

Three steps, no drama.

Tell me the problem

Call or message. A real person listens — no menus, no queues.

I take a look

Remotely or at your home, I find the cause and quote clearly before any work.

Fixed, and explained

I sort it, show you what changed, and stay on hand if anything niggles.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Can you fix things remotely?

Often, yes. Many software and settings problems can be solved over a secure remote session — quicker and cheaper for you than a visit.

Which areas do you cover?

Homes across Hertfordshire, North London and the surrounding areas. If you're just outside, ask anyway — I can often still help.

Do I need to be technical to talk to you?

Not at all. Describing what's happening in your own words is all I need — making sense of the technical side is my job, not yours.

How much will it cost?

Prices are competitive and quoted clearly before any work begins, so you always know where you stand. Get in touch and I'll give you an honest idea straight away.

Need something that isn't listed? Just ask — if I can help, I will, and if it's better handled elsewhere I'll say so.

Lean, like you

A sole trader looking after sole traders and small teams — no bloat, no long contracts, just the help you need.

One familiar face

You'll get to know one person who knows your setup — not a rotating cast reading from notes.

Competitive rates

Fair, clearly quoted pricing that suits a small business budget, with no surprises.

Apple specialist

Apple, looked after properly.

Setup, upgrades and repair for Mac, MacBook, iMac, iPad and iPhone — with a sensible balance of fair pricing and quick turnaround.

Setup & configuration

New Mac or iPhone set up just how you like it — accounts, iCloud, email, apps and backups — and everything moved across cleanly from your old Mac, Windows PC or phone. You walk away ready to go.

Upgrades & speed-ups

Storage and memory upgrades where your model allows, tidy-ups of cluttered drives, and the right updates — bringing an older Mac back to life instead of replacing it before its time.

Mac repairs

For Mac, MacBook and iMac: screens, batteries, keyboards, ports and charging faults, plus honest diagnosis of liquid damage or storage trouble — and a straight answer on whether a repair is worth it or your money is better spent elsewhere.

iPhone & iPad setup

Account set-up and configuration, transfers between devices, iCloud and backups sorted so your photos and messages are never at risk. Physical iPhone and iPad repairs aren't offered yet — but I'll happily point you to a trustworthy option.

Migrating to Apple

Switching from Windows? I'll move your files, email and photos across and help you feel at home on the Mac, so the change is smooth rather than daunting.

Fair prices

Competitive rates quoted upfront — you'll know the cost before I start, with no mark-up surprises.

Sensible turnaround

Quick where it can be, honest where a part needs ordering — you'll always know when to expect your device back.

Your data, respected

Backups first, careful handling throughout, and nothing kept that shouldn't be.

Websites & hosting

A website that quietly does its job.

Whether you need one built from scratch, or you've made something with a tool like Lovable and just need it online securely — I'll get it live and look after it, so it stays fast and secure long after launch day.

Already built something?

Made it — now let's get it online, safely.

Built a page with Lovable?

Created a lovely web page with Lovable but not sure how to put it online securely? You're in the right place — I'll get it published properly, with a domain, SSL and sensible security, and sort it out for you.

Self-hosting an app?

Running your own web application and want to expose it to the internet the safe way? I'll guide you in the right direction — secure access, certificates and the right setup, without leaving the door open.

From scratch

Or start with a blank page.

Design & build

A modern, mobile-friendly site that loads fast and reads clearly — built around what your customers actually need to find and do.

Hosting

Secure, reliable hosting with an SSL certificate and daily backups included — the boring essentials, always handled.

Domains & email

Your domain sorted and professional email that lands in inboxes, not junk folders.

Care & updates

Content changes, updates and monitoring after launch — a site that stays fresh and secure without you thinking about it.

Contact

Get in touch

Tell me what's going on in your own words — I'll reply personally, usually the same day.

By sharing your contact details you agree that I may use them to get in touch about your enquiry. I don't store your details or use them for anything else — only to reply to you. See the privacy statement for more. I aim to respond within one working day.

Privacy

Privacy statement

How I handle your information when you contact me or use this website.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This statement explains what personal information I collect through kozaktechnology.co.uk, why I collect it, and what your rights are. I keep it short and plain, and I only collect what I need to help you.

Who I am

KOZAK Technology is a sole trader based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, providing local technology services to homes and small businesses. For anything to do with your data, I am the data controller. You can reach me at hello@kozaktechnology.co.uk.

What I collect

  • When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, an optional address, the topic you choose, and whatever you write in your message.
  • When you use the broadband checker: just the postcode you type in. It isn't stored.

I don't use tracking or advertising cookies on this site, and I don't build any kind of profile on you.

Why I use it, and my lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss how I can help — on the basis of your consent and my legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch.
  • To provide a service you ask me for — on the basis of our contract (or taking steps to enter one).
  • To meet legal obligations — for example, keeping the financial records HMRC requires.

The area connectivity lookup

When you send an enquiry or use the checker, your postcode is sent to Ofcom's coverage service so I can see the broadband and mobile options in your area. This gives me useful context for your enquiry. Ofcom returns general information about the area, not about you.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your data or share it for marketing. Your information only passes through the services I use to run the business:

  • Telegram — enquiry notifications are sent to me there.
  • My email and website hosting providers — to receive and store correspondence and run the site.
  • Ofcom — for the postcode coverage lookup described above.

How long I keep it

If you get in touch but don't go on to become a customer, I don't keep your details — once your enquiry has been dealt with, they're deleted. If you become a customer, I keep what I need for as long as I'm providing the service, and for any period the law requires afterwards (for example, HMRC requires business and tax records to be kept for several years).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email hello@kozaktechnology.co.uk and I'll sort it, normally within a month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this statement changes, I'll update it here and revise the date at the top.
